Root Domain

    Hi:

    Will this still work if I am using my root domain as (my-website.net) instead of (www.my-website.net) If this will work? Is it a matter of creating a subdomain like static-my-website.net and then adding it?

    You can use any domain as the cookieless domain and it will work.

    BUT cookies are inherited by subdomains so if you use static.my-website.net it will inherit the cookies of my-website.net.

    Okay, so can I use an entirely different domain?

    Example: my-website.net and then for the subdomain static.some-other-domain.net

    yes, i use it on a mutisite and route all the assets to a domain no one will ever log into (hence no cookies). Here is an example:

    https://princesparktouch.com
