• Hello,

I’m looking at using your plugin. I’d like, however, to make it be ignored by the Root Relative URL plugin, which I use to allow our SSL server to be on an a different host than our public server. The problem is that the Root Relative URL plugin unfortunately, um, works with the google xml site map plugin in such a way that it generates a worthless site map—one which contains links beginning with a / (which are useful if the domain name varies but very bad if you are trying to produce a site map!)

My question is whether you could give me a hint on how I might modify one of these two plugins so that they work together. My thought was that I could build some sort of hook into the generate site map function that would tell RRUs plugin to “re-absolutize” any link it makes relative when the get_urL link is pulled. But I wasn’t sure what action or filter to link to, what you would consider a best practice, or whether the code shouldn’t be modified perhaps on in your plug in. If you had any suggestions on how to make RRUs not clobber the site map generation, I’d be very very grateful.

    Thanks,

    Eric
