I have been running Republish Old Posts for a few months. I didn’t notice a major problem with Permalinks.

My permalinks are set to domain.com/name-of-post

However, each time Republish Old Posts republishes a post, the new name of the post is changed to domain.com/?p=xxxx

I didn’t notice until I checked pages in google and found that previously NAMED pages were now being shown by the number sequence ?p=xxxx

I have reset permalinks many times. No luck.

I am assuming it is a conflict between ROP plugin and htaccess. My wordpress runs in a sub-folder.

Anyone seen similar problems?? How can it be fixed? I have not tried uninstalling the plug in yet because I’m concerned if there will be any issues with the renamed posts.

I’m not sure how the plugin could be affecting the permalinks. At its core the plugin is basically changing the date of the post to the current date so it appears to the world that it’s been recently published.

The only time I know of where there’s a permalink issue is when the date is included in the permalinks. Since the post’s date is updated, the resulting permalink is different than the original.
