• Hi,

I could use some help. I was searching google images and found pics on my site that are skewed and turned upside-down. See here: https://duarterock.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/6ea12-img_0521.jpg?w=640&h=480. So I went to my site and into the Media Library and found all of my pictures straightened. So why would my pictures be showing up in Google all distorted? My wordpress site is an import from Blogspot, but still my pictures are straight in the Media Library. Can’t see how to rotate pictures in “Edit.” Thanks.

    M.

Very strange! How do the images display on your actual site?

Are the width and height ‘dimensions’ the right way around in the image ‘edit media’ page?

Also, I have rotate options on my media edit pages….What version of WordPress are you using?

Thanks, Ian. As to how the pictures display on my site, most of them are fine. But too many are skewed. See here: https://duarterock.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/duarte-high-school-athletes/.

And cannot find an option to rotate the pictures under the “Edit” option. https://www.screencast.com/t/3Z86YMwxO4. Thank you.

Ian, I too have rotate options in my media edit pages. I was able to edit the one picture. But when I looked for other pictures that were turned askew, I could not find any. Least not in the Media Library. All the pictures there, except for the one, were fine. It’s just that on the site itself where the pictures are turned.

Where do you find the WP version? I’ve tried a few messages, and this is what I found. But when I open the “At a Glance,” I see no WP version. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-can-we-tell-what-version-of-wordpress-we-have?replies=4. Thanks.

Go to the updates section and that also tells you what version you have.

Strange that the ‘at a glance’ isn’t displaying the version (and your theme) at the bottom of the box though.

I use chrome for browsing and if you look at the image you posted above and ‘right click/inspect element’ you can look at the code for that image and although the file name shows the numbers the right way around, when you hover over the highlighted image code a little pop up window shows the actual image is listed as 480 wide and 640 tall as displayed.

You can also click ctrl and the letter U (to view source code) and scroll down to line 192 to look at the code for the image which displays properly on the blogspot link but not on the other one!

But that’s all I know, anyone else??
