• I’m not sure if this has anything to do with Foo Gallery but…
After uploading to the Media Library and clicking the Edit button the Edit Media window sometimes shows the image rotated. Sometimes it’s 90 degrees and other times it’s 180 degrees. While in the Edit Media window when I click on the Edit Image button it always returns a broken link. Using an FTP client I browse to the the image and click it for a preview and the image is always correct. The image stored on the server is never rotated.

I first noticed this while uploading images to a new Foo Gallery. Some of the thumbnails were rotated. After completing the gallery and viewing it on the WordPress site the images were in the correct orientation. This is they were correctly displayed while using Chrome. I just realized that if I used Safari the images are showing up in the rotated position.

Anyone know why the image links are always broken? Any ideas of why some images are getting rotated?

Never seen this behaviour before. Link to your gallery?

    The Gallery

Sorry but you won’t see any rotated images. Out of frustration I took the 13 out of 39 images that were rotate and converted them from .jpg to .png. then replaced them in the gallery. I have hundreds of people viewing the gallery this weekend and just couldn’t wait.

The thing that bothers me the most is how all images in the Media library show a broken link when you click to edit.

Do you perhaps have a staging site, that is a clone of live, that I can have login acces to?

Also, what is your “FooGallery -> Systems Info” output?

Yes I have a development site that is a clone of the live site but I’m not comfortable in posting login credentials here. Do you have a way I can get the info to your securely?

All of my media files are linked to ‘attachment’, I read somewhere that foo gallery images should be linked to ‘file’. I can’t find anyplace where I can manually change this or a setting where all future media would automatically linked to ‘file’
