Rotating Header Twenty Eleven

Twenty Eleven includes this functionality built in. Just upload more than one header image through Appearance > Header in your WordPress dashboard. You will then see an option for “Random: Show a different image on each page.” for your uploaded images.

That is helpful! However, I guess I was unclear with my request. I’m trying to have the image rotate on a timer, basically have the header change images every 2, 3, 4, etc. seconds. Is this possible?

I accidentally made a mistake creating this post, I’m using WP version 3.2.1, sorry for the confusion.

The best way to do this would be to use wp-cycle plugin (or similar plugin) instead of the featured image function for the header.

Follow the instructions to install the plugin, then you need to edit your theme’s header.php file to call the wp-cycle banner instead of the featured image header.
