Row Numbers Appearing Instead of Content

    Hi,

    I just installed the Table Generator plugin and I am trying it out. I really like all the features and it’s pretty easy to use.

    There’s just one problem: in the first column, instead of the content that I have entered in the editor, both the preview and the table on the live post display the row number. This happens only in the first column, and only for rows other than the header.

    I didn’t get any response from the developer, but I eventually figured this out on my own.

    On the “Settings” tab for the table that you are editing, there is a dropdown labeled, “Auto index.” It is set to “Use first column,” by default. If you change it to, “No index,” the row numbers no longer appear and the data is displayed as it is entered in the editor. I feel like “No index” would be a more intuitive default.

    Hope this helps someone in the future.
