RSFiles – Is anybody awake?
-
RSFiles plugin.
First of all, it’s not installable. If you try and install it from within WP it fails and leaves you with a empty rsforms directory.
Second, if you want to grab it from their site you have to jump though a million registration hoops since they are using Joomla. THen once you finally get logged in and navigate to the plugin and try and download it you are logged out and have to login again./usability fail.
Ok, it’s finally installed. I can’t help but noticed it looks like they simply copied the code from the Joomla version and shoehorned it into WP, but I digress.
Once I did all that, I realize I can’t insert my own link, I have no choice but to upload a file. I know that functionality isn’t listed, but it’s not exactly a odd thing to expect. Many people link to Dropbox or S3 nowadays.
Anyhow, I’ve moved on. I just wanted to point out my experience with this plugin. Get it together RS guys. Normally my experiences with you are good, but on the WP side of things it was a pretty epic fail.
