    Hi all,

Please can someone help me with my nightmare!

    https://blog.thomascook.com/

So my feed has broken. I’ve read every possible post on here. I’ve tried the blank line page, I’ve tried the fix plugin.

I’ve tried to validate my feed and it tells me that it doesn’t validate. I can see that there is a blank line at the top of my feed. How the hell do I fix it.

I’ve disabled plugins, I’ve taken the ?> of my config file and other files, I’ve tried getting rid of every blank line.

    Someone please help.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks for the quick response emsi.

I’ve just tried deactivating the plugins and then back again.

    It worked straight away.

Strange thing is it’s working in firefox but no other browsers. Also none of my colleges machines.

Does it work for you now? This just seems to get stranger by the minute.

Feed also still doesn’t validate. It’s the blank line error again.

No – the feed is still invalid when I try to access it using Firefox 6.

Ok so the solution for me was the plugins.

Even though I had done it before, I hadn’t done it thoroughly enough. So for anyone else who is being driven mad by a broken feed, you must deactivate every plugin EVERYONE. Then test from there and activate each one untill you find it.

    Thanks to esmi.
