I’m suddenly having trouble with the RSS feeds for our site, which I first noticed when I got an error report from ActiveCampaign letting me know an email couldn’t send because the rss feed is not valid. It was working as of two weeks ago.

The error message from a feed validator is:

Sorry
This feed does not validate.

line 6, column 44: XML parsing error: <unknown>:6:44: not well-formed (invalid token) [help]

Line 6 is: xmlns:media=”https://search.yahoo.com/mrss/”xmlns:georss=”https://www.georss.org/georss” xmlns:geo=”https://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/wgs84_pos#”

ActiveCampaign says the error is a result of a missing space, and it does seem as if these three xmlns entries should be on separate lines (or at least that there should be a space between the xmlns:media and xmlns:georss entries.

But I don’t know what to do to fix this.

Going through and turning plugins back on one at a time, the offending line appears to be created by JetPack, which is problematic because we’re using JetPack to insert social media feeds into custom sidebars for customers who buy listings on our site.

Would prefer not to have to choose been a usable RSS feed and JetPack’s sidebar tools.

Must have been a JetPack update recently. I’ll get in touch with their support.
