    Hi!

On March 16th, I got an email from Pinterest saying, “Your RSS feed can not be fetched. Please make sure that the feed URL can be opened.” I didn’t get a chance to check it out, and then on April 5th, 6th, and 7th I got additional emails saying the same, so I finally took a peek last night.

According to the W3C feed validator –

“This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 33, column 0: Use of unknown namespace: com-wordpress:feed-additions:1 (11 occurrences) [help]

    <site xmlns=”com-wordpress:feed-additions:1″>57684931</site> <item>”

I disabled all my plugins (15) and turned them back on one by one, and ran the validator each time. Jetpack is the only plugin that caused the error – when it’s disabled and the other 14 are running, I get this result from the validator –

“Congratulations! This is a valid RSS feed.”

Any help getting this resolved would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I refreshed your feed from our end. Please check now and see if the feed can now be fetched and then we can go from there.

    Thanks,

    Hey Darnell!

Thanks so much for checking! Sadly though, the error is still there. After I checked, I de-activated JetPack again, rechecked & the error was gone. After I reactivated JetPack it was back.

Ready for the next step when you are, but no rush – this is a minor problem in the grand scheme of things. ??

    Hi there,

That is something injected by the Enhanced Distribution module. To remove that line from your feed go to the Jetpack’s Modules page and click on the Deactivate link next to the Enhanced Distribution module. Here’s a direct link to that page:
