• I just recently installed wordrpess 2.5.1.

i notice that when i click to vew the rss feed, it gets cut off and ends with […]

    why is that?

i checked the settings>Reading and i have “For each article in a feed, show ” set to FULLTEXT. it was like that by default as well. and yet my rss feed is still cut off.

i would like my rss feeds from wordpress to show everything completely. full article.

    any help is appreciated. thanks.

  • Are you using Firefox to view the feed? Firefox shows the excerpt of a post by default, try it with other feed readers instead (SimplePie).

No he meant in our RSS Feed that people can subscribe to and use an importer so that it posts on a forum message board.

He was stating that all you seen was the description and not the full text.

I fixed it for him, had to remove RSS:Description and use RSS: Encoded only.

no. i meant the actual rss when viewed via browser as Haochi described. I was using maxthon. didn’t think to check diffrent browsers. i’ll do that right now. thx

ok. firefox and maxthon are doing the same thing. they still cut it short. and IE6 didn’t have a built in reader so all i saw was raw xml. :p

i’m not sure if it can be the browsers because when i used to test the rss of another cms, i would never get these shortened articles.
