I am running my feed through Podcast mirror, so the feed is:
https://feeds.podcastmirror.com/pageantcast

It validates there and on Google Play, but not on iTunes. It even worked on FeedValidator.org

When I put it through validator.w3.org, though I got some error messages I can’t figure out how to fix:

The w3 validator is old and hasn’t been updated in years. It throws out a lot of unnecessary warnings, especially with podcast feeds.

I ran your feed thru CastFeedValidator and it came up fine. What kind of trouble are you having with the feed and Apple Podcasts?

Is coming up as a 404 not found in CastFeedValidator. I also tried loading the feed URL in Google Chrome, and no XML is displayed, which is the normal response for a feed like this. Is your website possible set to “maintenance” mode or set to “coming soon” or something like that? If so, that’s why you can’t submit the feed to Apple. The feed must be public and accessible before you can submit it to platforms like Apple Podcasts.

Hello, thanks for your reply, I thought I should build upon the same case that already exists, I will start a new thread next time.

PowerPress was disabled because I had to install another podcasting plugin to try the same but that also didn’t work.

The feed was working when I submit to Apple Podcast, now I’ve disabled that new plugin and PowerPress is back, but podcastsconnect.apple.com is showing the same.

What’s the problem?

Two issues I see with the feed…

1. It has an HTML comment at the bottom, this will prevent Apple from parsing the feed URL (Known issue with Apple) Remove the HTML comment to fix.

2. The content of the feed is minified (process of removing white space and return lines in order to save bytes in a page). It appears the W3 total cache plugin is doing it. Please look through that plugin and see if there is a way to disable this for feeds. minified feeds will never process right in podcast apps as podcast apps need the correct return lines that are in the content for displaying purposes. Though minifying the feed should not prevent applications from getting your podcasts, your episode meta information (show notes) will be negatively impacted.
