• I tried to subscribe to my blog in a new newsreader and discovered that I’m getting an error when I try to access my RSS feed:
An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource ‘https://www.bidtrendz.com/collectible/feed/rss2/’. Line 129, Position 18
This is happening in two blogs I have going – is it related to the character encoding? I did read a post from someone who was having problems with German characters in their blog. The only thing I can think of, is I used a British “pound” symbol in a couple of posts.
Or am I off base here, and it’s something else?

  • Can you figure out which particular character it is? That might help.

I haven’t a clue where it might be – I have 149 posts, but I’m assuming by the line number that it’s probably near the top.
Since I posted, I did fix one of the blogs, but the error page did point me at the right post. Are we restricted to UTF-8 encoding for the RSS feed, as it does seem to be invalid characters in the posts themselves causing the problem…
