RSS feed into version 2.7

FeedWordPress says that it is “Compatible up to: 2.7”.

Yes but too much hocus pocus to make it work….upgrade maggie????
Seems this wordpress 2.7 is more of a headache than better to use.
at least with the other word press versions simple smart rss works excellent..

I was kust hoping a simple plug in like smart rss was my hero….

I just cant believe as many people out there using rss feeds to thier blogs arnt having this very same problem??

yeah, I didn’t check the installation instructions, but if it has the features you need, it’s probably worth the trouble. But there are so many RSS related plugins, I am sure there are some that work well.

I’ve never needed anything more advanced than the default RSS widget, and I’m just glad that incoming RSS works at all, which is more than I can say for Facebook!

I think most WordPress users are more concerned about their outgoing feeds, rather than aggregating other people’s feeds. And personally, I’d sacrifice or replace any plugin before I’d risk being hacked by running some old version like 2.2 or 2.3! ??

I just had the same problem of not seeing the categories where you add the rss feeds… I went to the plugin site and re downloaded, installed the new one and now it works fine… the categories now show.
