• Ever since I updated to 1.5.3 as of a few days ago, when I post something at my site (TVaholic.com) it shows up on the blog right away and when I view the RSS feed (https://www.tvaholic.com/feed/) in my browser everything is there. But, when I use a feed validator or some other third party feed reader (like the RSS to email service at my email newsletter provider), they don’t see the latest post in the feed.

When I go into the WP Super Cache settings and click Delete Cache under the Contents tab and then go check the feed with the third party reader/validator, the latest post now shows up.

I haven’t changed any settings in WP Super Cache other than upgrading the plugin.

Any help on what is causing this?

  • Bumping this because I am getting the same thing with iTunes and my site – I run a podcast on this site and I have to manually refresh the cache to get the latest episode to show on RSS.

Can you give the development version a go? I added code that would check the cached feed to make sure it’s older than the last time a post was updated. You’ll have to update a post at least once to make sure it works.

Or, have you tried to disable caching of feeds on the advanced settings page?

    Hello,

Not fully thread hijacking, but still better than create a new thread, I come to report the almost same issue.

I had to exclude /feed/ from the elements to cache, because wp-supercache was fully breaking it.

While I could view it in a browser that had me logged in as admin, the rest of the world was unable to view the /feed/ anymore, unreachable file, while rss validators reported incorrect gzip encoding.
Support forum link for details, issue marked as solved: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/rss-feed-broken-for-the-rest-of-the-world-only-loading-for-blog-admin/ , and wp-supercache was confirmed as the sole culprit, everything else (themes and plugins) was deactivated/reactivated without changing the issue, only turning off supercache or excluding /feed/ worked.

I don’t need support on this case (I simply excluded /feed/ ) but I thought I still ought to come and add my voice to the other ones reporting rss feed problems since the update of wp-supercache.
