RSS Feed not updating
-
My RSS feed for my blog sugarandcloth.com was recently pointing to Feedburner until I realized how terrible that setup is, and then removed the Feedburner plugin and reverted back to just my regular RSS wordpress feed, https://www.sugarandcloth.com/feed.
According to the W3 feed validator, my feed is working and in good health, and in the XML text is always shows the most recent post. The issue is that feed readers like my Bloglovin, Feedly, Feedburner etc aren’t picking up the most recent posts unless I manually hit “Flush Cache” that comes built in with my Media Temple WordPress hosting. Initially I wasn’t having any trouble with it picking up the new posts, but it went from working, to sporadic, to not working unless I manually select Flush Cache every single day.
According to MT support there is no way to change the built in flush cache settings to refresh on it’s own any quicker, so I need to find another solution to the issue short of switching hosting. I’ve disabled all plugins not in use, and currently have no extra caching or feed plugins installed.
Any advice would be fabulous! Thanks in advance!
