• I have seen other topics about RSS feeds completely not working, but my problem is that it is only “partially” working. I can’t seem to figure out why my RSS feed only shows 2 posts when there should be 5.

I have tried Google Reader, and Yahoo! and still only two posts show. I contacted the creator of the theme I am using because I at first thought that the issue was there.

After trying other WordPress free themes (including the default), I see the problem still persists.

Here is my current in-progress site: https://www.terrybiddle.com/3.0

On my home screen you will see 5 posts. I have been trying to work through this problem for several days and have yet to figure out what the problem may be. This includes searching through these forums.

Any ideas? I’m afraid to continue re-building my site until this issue is resolved.

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

do you have appropriate settings where it says:

Yep. My settings are set to 10 posts, so they should ALL be displayed.

    Hi,

    Check with this plugin:

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately this plugin hasn’t been tested for the current version of WordPress I am using (2.9.2).

So…I ended up giving that plugin a try anyway.

It said I had 544 code errors.

I fixed them, but then it changed my feed address from terrybiddle.com/3.0/?feed=rss2(something or other) to https://www.terrybiddle.com/feed which gives me a 410 error message.

After looking at other RSS feed forums here, I’m assuming this has something to do with “pretty permalinks”? Anyone familiar with fixing this in Yahoo! hosting?

It was already an additional process to set WordPress up through Yahoo! webhosting (on a Mac) and I’m reluctant to have to reinstall or tinker with anything.

Any ideas? This problem has been going on for over a week and is really putting me behind in rebuilding my site.

I appreciate the help thus far everyone.

I use FD feeburner plugin, and it works. For more info, check [link moderated – if you have videos and tutorials that are helpful please submit them to https://wordpress.tv/ and use those links] this screencast, hope it will help. Good luck!

@kim09: Thanks, unfortunately…I tried Feedburner before and it didn’t solve the problem. ??

for https://www.terrybiddle.com/feed to work, you would need pretty permalinks

Which would require access to .htaccess, which I don’t think yahoo allows……

My RSS feed is still not working. I contacted Yahoo! to look for what the problem might be. They’re telling me that I need to contact WordPress because they don’t provide support for any WordPress issues.

    !!!

I wasn’t the nicest to the poor guy on the phone, but there is nothing that steams me more than waiting, only to be told: “I can’t help you.” So you just wasted my time for nothing?

They said if the issue is related to .htaccess (which they can’t look into) then there is NO WAY to fix the issue because they don’t provide ANY user access for security reasons.

    So am I screwed?
