• I seem to have a problem with my RSS feed. When I post something new to my website, it doesn’t go out as it should. I read somewhere that the act of changing them could help. I tried it and find that if I change from my current theme (a child of Twenty Eleven) to another theme, no matter which one, and then go back, the RSS feed is ok. Is there something wrong with Twenty Eleven, or the fact that I am using a child theme, or maybe something else? Thank you for any suggestions.

Hey there @keithvs – as far as I’m aware, RSS functionality is not controlled by the theme, and is a core WordPress feature.

Did this problem only start recently? Do you recall making any changes in your child theme prior to when the problem started?

Does the problem go away if you activate the Twenty Eleven parent theme, which I see is the active theme on your site currently?

If the problem is present only with your child theme – and not the unmodified parent Twenty Eleven – you’ll want to have a careful look at the changes you made in your child theme. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Kathryn, thanks for getting back to me!

The problem started in early December. I haven’t made any changes to the child theme in years. It is still a mystery to me what would have changed and caused this problem.

I activated the parent theme yesterday to see if that solves the problem. I’ll know when I post next week.

I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.
