In mailchimp, the RSS feed when viewed in browser shows blank image at top

    see screenshot – https://snipboard.io/1EjTm0.jpg

Talked to mailchimp and they said it was a problem with the feed as it shows src= value, which is data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==and is not an image url

When I deactivate the plugin, this goes away but so does the image.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Robin

    Hi there,

Some other plugin is replacing your images with Base64 encoded images. Our plugin does not do this. Let me know if you have trouble nailing down the cause of this.

Thanks. I thought I disabled all plugins and tried it.

Went through the process again. I must not have cleared cache in between each time and deactivation and finally figured out the CULPRIT plugin causing the issue.

Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Robin

Hi @rbennett glad to hear you found the issue. Which plugin was causing it? I’d like to note that on our side for future similar support issues.

XWP – they do website optimization mostly for core web vitals I think.

Great @rbennett thanks for letting me know. We’ll add it to our list of plugins to look for when the feed images are being negatively affected.
