The RSS feed widget began throwing this error on two of my sites using ColorMag theme 1.4.1 over the past month:

RSS Error: A feed could not be found at https://action-lab.org/feed. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.

This error message pops up when I try to insert the feed url (which is valid) in the RSS widget in the right sidebar, in two different sites:
    https://action-lab.org
    https://cher.trincoll.edu/news

Anyone else having this problem? Ideas for solutions?

We checked out the feed which you have provided to us for checking and it seems to be working all fine. So, maybe you can give it a try deactivating the used plugin in your site? Also, since this is not caused via the theme, we might not be able to assist properly onto it. Hope you can understand.

    Thanks.

Thanks @nitushrestha10 for your helpful response.

I agree that the ColorMag theme is working properly, because I created a test site where the RSS feed displays, using the same plugins as my original sites. Since I cannot replicate the problem, it’s definitely something with my site, not your theme.
