RSS feed with old articles

    SITUATION:
    1. I start to create podcasts.
    2. I need RSS feed.
    3. Yoast has a default RSS feed at this URL: https://surebety.pl/feed/

    PROBLEM:
    4. There are OLD POSTS (articles) in this default RSS feed
    (from 22.06.2010 not from 2022).

    5. The oldest articles are from 22.06.2020. Many from 16.12.2020 (after site migration). There are also newer articles. In RSS feed there are showed ONLY the oldest posts instead of the newest ones.

    6. I would like to have my own, working RSS with the full control, but Yoast give me no options to control RSS.

    Failed repair attempts:

    7. I didn’t find such option in Yoast:
    – remove RSS feed
    – deactivate RSS feed
    – sort posts starting from the newest (something was broken I guess)

    8. Plugin “Yoast Test Helper”

    was installed, but it didn’t show in the left “Yoast SEO” menu, so I couln’t use it.

    9. Google didn’t help.

    Expected solution:

    11. Option “disable RSS feed” (checkbox) implemented in Yoast settings.

    Thanks for reaching out about your RSS feeds.

    First, I will like to mention that WordPress creates RSS feeds. So if you temporarily deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin, you still have feeds. So the issue you are experiencing is unrelated to our plugin. You can learn more about feeds at https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/wordpress-feeds/

    The RSS feed settings in the Yoast SEO plugin is used to automatically add content to your RSS. More specifically, it’s meant to add links back to your blog and your blog posts. Dumb scrapers will automatically add these links too, helping search engines identify you as the original source of the content.
