    Is there a plug-in or something that can help create RSS Feeds by Category? My research says it should be ‘automatic’ and that an RSS feed for every category can be found with:

    https://www.example.com/category/categoryname/feed

    I’m not finding this to be true. Also, I’ve found just one plug-in (Category Specific RSS feed Subscription) that has promised such a feature, but it doesn’t appear to work, either.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • WordPress supports RSS feeds by category out of the box.

    It looks like you’re using a plugin or a custom solution for removing the category from the URLs of the categories. The current approach affects the category RSS feed.

    Currently, there is no valid category RSS feed.

    For example:

    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Tristan Bills &raquo; Reading Category Feed" href="https://tristanbills.com/./reading/feed/" />

    Please note . before /reading/ — usually, it says category.

    You can do the following:

    Please test the solution in a staging instance.

    Oh, my! I’ve been looking for that . and found it in the Category Base in the Permalinks settings. I’ve removed that dot, and now my feeds all appear to be working appropriately.

    Thank you so much for your help!
