RSS not validating ( error)

  • I am currently experiencing a feed validation error for ashrussell.com/feed – when I check validation, it tells me that there is an error in line 11

    This feed does not validate.
    line 11, column 25: XML parsing error: <unknown>:11:25: undefined entity [help]
    <title>ashrusselldotcom « ashrusselldotcom</title>

    I have tried every troubleshooting method I can (my skills are fairly limited, to be honest I’m surprised I haven’t broken something badly enough to register before today) including wiping my theme, changing my theme, changing my blog title in every place I can locate it, but nothing has worked. When I changed the theme entirely, it broke the RSS even more severely. I also turned on and off plugins one by one, but none of those made a difference either.

    I have googled extensively but I cannot find this EXACT error. I have tried fixes for other similar issues and none of those have worked either.

    I am using Atahualpa and have updated all my plugins. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. I’m afraid I’ve really tapped out all my skills at this point.

    I have also tried making a test post hoping that would clear the error, but that did not work either.

    This clearly seems like an error with my theme, since the title line is being generated by it. In my header.php, there is no title attribute except, I assume, in the advanced code I cannot understand. I even tried adding one manually there and though it did change the way my blog title is presenting in the browser tab, the feed would still not validate.

    The Atahualpa forums only answer questions from recent donors and I don’t exactly have the cash to donate at the moment, so any help you all can offer would be super appreciated.
