RSS not working after upgrading to 2.5.1

  • Hi All.

    I upgraded to 2.5.1 from 2.5 and the default rss is no longer working
    I read through the post here and see that many have this problem, or similar.
    I went to https://validator.w3.org
    and tried to validate it. I am using the default RSS feed button located in the header from wordpress. The message I am getting back is telling me there is a line error

    XML Parsing Error: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document .

    I understand the error but have no idea where to correct the problem. I am hoping that someone can tell me where this would be located so I can correct the problem.

    If there is a better way to get the rss feed to work with the upgrade to 2.5.1 I would appreciate any info about that.
