RSS output for individual catagories

    I’m running WP 2.0 on Linux. I do have root privilages.

    I need a seperate RSS feed (output) for each catagory.

    It would also be nice if they could be generated and dumped to a catagory_name.xml file every time a story is added to the catagory although I know that might be a tall order.

    I’ve seen instructions for earlier versions of WP and I’ve searched the plugins with success.

    I don’t know a thing about php so please try to include step-by-step instructions.

    Well as for the .xml file, I don’t think that’s going to happen without hacks. And you need to be able to edit files for that.

    However, if you don’t HAVE to have the .xml file then all you need to do is (if you have permalinks setup) add /feed to the end of your catigory url:

    https://www.somesecretplace.com/category/games/feed/

    If you don’t have permalinks on then add ?feed=rss2 (replace rss2 with the format you want)
