  • I have the same issues with the RSS feeds, some old posts have the date Wed, 31 Dec 1969 15:59:59 +0000. Also, have a problem with a slash being in the feeds where I have apostraphes in my posts.

Also, why don’t WP’s RSS feed maintain accurate tag encoding? Why aren’t links that appear in the original post also preserved in the RSS feed?

Anyone know what to do about this? I am lost, I have tried everything I can think of to get this to work ??

No one seems to know the answer ??

patience is a virtue. check the buglist on wiki. add it if it is missing.

I’m not having the date issue as far as I’m aware, but I am definitely seeing the tag encoding issue. In fact, this is not new to 1.2 — I’m pretty sure the problem appeared in 1.0, because that’s when I started seeing it in the posts syndicated to LiveJournal. I didn’t report it then because I thought it was probably a LiveJournal issue, and it wasn’t a high priority for me, but now I see that it definitely is coming from WP, not LJ.

Well, now I’m confused because I *do* see those tags in the RSS. I looked the other day and I swear they weren’t there. ?? LJ appears to be grabbing the “description” part of the RSS instead of the “content:encoded”… any insight into this?

gmmktime and mktime – 2 otherwise nifty php commands – give errors when used on my server – fedora core2, runnin webmin install with php5.02.

will try a fix from the php.net site.. has anyone tried to fix old funky dates with win_gmmktime? it works on test run thus far… will go live with it and see how it goes – adding it to the functions.php in the includes directory and replacing all the mktime/ gmmktime etc…
