RSS SOS!

  • My RSS widget is giving me this error message. Everything else is working fine. Any suggestions?

    Error: could not find an RSS or ATOM feed at that URL.

    Also, if I wanted to add the code for a feedburner subscribe icon in my sidebar, where do I add it. I tried the sidebar section under my theme editor, but no luck…

  • 1. It means the site you are linking to doesn’t have feeds. It says clearly.

    2. You should edit the file on your computer in a plain text editor (after making a backup copy first) and upload the modified file to the theme folder.

    Edit. If you are using widgets, no manual editing has effect: widgets override everything, unless:
    a) you put the code outside of the dynamic section
    b) or use a text widget to put the code into the sidebar
