RSS Weirdness
-
I am just in the process of designing a website for someone, he has asked for a blog..so I have installed WordPress to the site and have customised it to blend in with the rest of the site design…so far so good.
The client has now asked for his latest posts made, to be shown on the front page of the website ( a normal HTML page).
I am using simplepie software to show the rss feed on the front page … as I’ve used this on another website.
..now the problem is that the simplepie works .. as it will show other feeds ..but NOT the feed for the blog. I have checked my wordpress feeds on feed valiadtors and they work .. I have even put them into the other website I’ve done with simplepie to see if they work .. and they do.
No matter what I do, I cannot get the feeds to display on the site where the wordpress is hosted.
Has anyone come across this before, is it something to do with it being on the same server as the website.
My WordPress/RSS/XML knowledge is poor so any help is very much appreciated.
thanks
