    Hi!

I’ve started to use the RSS widget in the sidebar but I’ve noticed that it has big problems with norwegian characters like ???. When a title has one or more of this characters, it is replaced with something like “?¥”. That’s not the only problem. I’ve configured the RSS widget to show the last 5 articles, but now it’s only showing the last one.

Anyone having a smiliar problem and/or have a solution for me to fix the problem?

The site with the RSS widget with norwegian characters is car.kak.net.

I’m also using the RSS widget on blog.kak.net, but here the RSS feed is in english. No problems with the RSS feed here, only when the titles includes “‘” and things like that.

If it’s not possible to fix this problem with the RSS widget, is it any better plugins or widgets to use?

    Thanks in advance!

Now the RSS widget is even stranger. Now this error-message has turned up:

An error has occurred; the feed is probably down. Try again later.

After downloading and replacing the magpieRSS .51 with the newest one (.72) the problem was solved.

    More about the solution here.

Btw; Is WordPress planning to include the newest version of magpieRSS in the next release?
