RSS XML Error

  • Hi,

    I am getting this page error at https://www.myjamii.com/feed/

    “This page contains the following errors:

    error on line 193 at column 31: Input is not proper UTF-8, indicate encoding !
    Bytes: 0x1F 0x63 0x65 0x20

    Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”

    The RSS widget shows the following error:

    “RSS Error: This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 178, column 19”.

    Have disabled the plugin folder and tried a different theme … no luck.

    Any other assistance would be much appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap.
