RSS/XML feeds into wordpress

  • Hi. I am trying to create a wordpress RSS/XML feed to upload data into my wordpress.com weblog

    I have re-created the xml data modeled on the WP export data but for some reason the information does not import.

    When I do a comparision with xml notepad the data structure is the same. All the other data is present except (obviously) I do not have a GUID or a post_id.

    The date format is not exactly the same but never the less a valid date.

    Is there some parameter that WordPress is looking for that I might have missed?

    Has anyone managed to recreate a wordpress xlm feed? one that is not generated by wordpress export?

    If I can get it working i should be able to click on a link to generate the data import file and then run teh data import function. (Sadly I can not automat the whole process as wordpress.com is a limited service)
