    The translations for Event Tickets are submitted by community members through the www.ads-software.com translation system.

    You can override the translations by creating your own mo and .po files, and placing them in your site’s wp-content/languages/plugins folder. You can read more about this here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/translating-the-events-calendar/

    You can get the latest translations for your language here: https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/

    If the “waiting” translations at https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/ aren’t accepted soon, I’ll probably try overriding the translation as you suggested.

    I have tried the suggestion and placed the .po I downloaded via “Export” at https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/ in the wp-content/languages/plugins but the strings don’t show up.

    Does the file need to be renamed to be picked up? The file I got is named wp-plugins-event-tickets-stable-de.po. I found that the German language file in the wp-content/languages/plugins/event-tickets/lang folder is named event-tickets-de_DE.mo.

    Indeed the file needs to be renamed to event-tickets-de_DE.mo.

    Note, the .po files are only used to make the strings human readable and translateable. WordPress will use the .mo file, which is usually auto-created on saving the .po.

    Unfortunately, I’m still seeing the old strings. Is it enough to place the .mo file in the wp-content/languages/plugins folder as the documentation states or is it actually necessary to replace the existing language file in the wp-content/languages/plugins/event-tickets/lang folder?

    Also, does the .po one downloads via “Export” at https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/de/default/ include the translations which are “waiting”? Those are the ones I’m after.

    The export will depend on how you have the filters and export settings configured when exporting. You should be able to configure it do include the “waiting” translations.

    You should just be able to place the new mo file in wp-content/languages/plugins

    Same here – most of the RSV Form is in English, though the german language files are in both locations /languages/plugins as well as in /tickets/lang

    Is there a cure for this in sight – I can’t have my customers see the forms in English… ;-(

    All “waiting” strings have been processed so the German translation is now complete ( https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/de/default/ ).

    However, there are still issues with the strings which probably need to be corrected by the developers. Here are screenshots with annotations: https://jmp.sh/uWY6CBg Let me know if there’s anything that requires clarification.

    Sorry for the long delay here. I checked the most recent version of Event Tickets and switched to German. The highlighted strings showed up properly translated. The string “(erforderlich)” didn’t show up anywhere.

    If you have translations in wp-content/languages/plugins, then you might need to update the string set of those. If you are using Loco translate, than open the German translation of Event Tickets and click on the Sync button. Then check if your needed translations are done and click save.

    Can you check if this is working for you now?
