• I’ve recently begun using the Chosen theme; it’s incredibly lovely and minimal; I adore it; however, there’s one thing I don’t like about it right now:
Writing Arabic worries me since the punctuation does not show up correctly; for instance, when I make a point at the conclusion of a sentence, the point shows up at the beginning of the phrase!

I hope the support considers the punctuation issue in Arabic.

I wish you all the best.

Update: The problem is with the WordPress text editor, not with the theme!

    Thanks for the review!

I haven’t seen this issue before. Could you link me to an example where the punctuation is messed up?

Thank you for your reply and support, Ben.

You can go to the following URL to see how I changed some Arabic text with the end phrase point, however it only appears at the beginning of the sentence!

Okay I think I see what’s happening. The period is in a separate HTML element and that’s why it’s showing on the wrong side. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean: https://d.pr/i/ppj1jP

To correct this, can you try removing the red color and any styling from the Arabic text and check if the period shows up in the right place? Then when you make the text red again, make sure the period is included and it should work.

I hope that makes sense. Let me know how it goes.

I deleted this paragraph and recreated it without any styling; I just wrote the phrase again and the problem persists!

I modified the page; please double-check the text for which you took a screenshot.

Thanks for trying that. I’m seeing the same issue where the period is getting placed outside the “mark” element that the text is in: https://d.pr/i/nx9V5B

Is there another way you could enter the Arabic text into the editor so that the period is included the same way?

I understand that this is happening with the Chosen theme, but just so you know, this looks to be an issue with the WP editor and would happen with other themes too.

    Hi Ben,
    Thanks for your reply.
I activated the WordPress default theme and tested; the same problem still exists!

    Conclusion:
As you mention, it’s a problem with the WordPress text editor!

I can’t tell whether there is a means for the period to be included, but If I type the point first, then the phrase, the point will appear at the end of the sentence even though I wrote it first!

For your help and patience, I will change my rating from 4 to 5 stars.
    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I’m not sure why WordPress is creating the HTML like this, but maybe you would have better luck with the Classic Editor: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/. Some people hate it but a lot of long-time WP users prefer it.

I’ll give it a try and thank you very much, Ben ??
