I have the FedEx plugin with real-time FedEx shipping rates installed and it working fine

Can the Flexible Shipping PRO plugin solve this scenario?

    A cart from $0 – 74.99. Shipping is a flat rate of $8.50
    A cart $75 – 10,000 Shipping is Free

    No problem here, HOWEVER

I have a shipping class that I created for heavy products that are Paid Shipping.
These ones cannot be used for the Free Shipping scenario above and must have their shipping calculated by the FedEx shipping rates by weight.

I can get it working when I create a Rule Cost and just do a flat rate based on weight but we need it to be calculated by the FedEx API and weight. Is this possible?

We have your Pro Flexible Shipping plugin.

    Hi,

this scenario is not supported. You need a plugin that will split the shipment into separate packages, then the packages will be quoted.

    Hi @pelicanpaul,

There is a kind of work-around to configure such scenario, however, its success depends on the fact if the FedEx plugin you are currently using supports the shipping classes. If you already own the Flexible Shipping PRO you should be able to create so called ‘filtering rule’ hiding the shipping method when a product with Paid Shipping shipping class is in the cart. You can read more about hiding the shipping methods here: https://docs.flexibleshipping.com/article/45-flexible-shipping-disable-hide-shipping-method

Once the rule above is configured this is the part when the FedEx plugin should get in the game. If it supports the shipping classes, you should be able to set it up to display the rates only for the products with Paid Shipping shipping class assigned. Technically, you should be able to achieve this way what you’ve described as a result. However, as I previously mentioned the key is the FedEx plugin’s shipping classes support.

    Kind regards,
    ?ukasz
