• Hi,

    In Step 5: Run Install Script, I can’t visit https://amykwongdesign.com/wp-admin/install.php

    It takes me to Crazy Domains where I’ve parked my domain name.

    the wordpress files in my cPanel file manager are placed directly in public_html
    I’ve checked that the ‘install php’ file is inside wp-admin folder.
    the wp-config.php file is directly under public_html.

    I cannot possibly know why it’s not working- I’ve no experience in this sort of thing, I’d love some help, thanks!

    Amy

    @amykwong

    It’s a parked domain. Give them a call and see if their support group can instruct you on how to make your domain accessible.

    @ellicia

    You are at the install process. Your problem is not the same. Provide valid information in the installation form, and you should be good to go. If it fails, contact your host for assistance.

    thanks Clayton. I was landed/stuck in this installation page by accident yesterday. where the page do not have commant button for exit. once check-in.. cannot check-out! : ) Thanks for your reply. will somehow install in.. no choice. : )

    thanks clayton, I’ve changed the nameservers.

    Now, at least it’s not landing me on crazydomains….but it’s still not working.

    It’s saying: “Can’t Select database”. We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the amy_kwong_designwebsite database.

    wow i’m really lost.

    You need to login to the database server and create a database. Ask your hosts if you need detailed instructions.

    They might have something in their control panel or a link to a tool called phpmyadmin which you can use for database administration.
