• I’m using the Content by Country Plugin which uses the following tags [cbc][/cbc]

So for example here’s how it’d be used:

    [cbc:+usa:+gb]My example content here.[/cbc]

The problem is that I’d like to use this in the template header but when I add those tags they simply come out as text in the outputted page.

Is there any way to get this working in the header?

  • OK – I have to ask – why do you want to use these shortcodes in your header?

The problem you’re facing is that shortcodes (eg [xyx]) usually need to be within the main post content area in order to be converted from meaningless code to usable content for your posts/pages. So I very much doubt that they will work within your header.

Doesn’t mean that there isn’t an alternative solution though…

Basically, I’d like to have content on the blog that is country specific. The Content by Country plugin offered that solution for my posts and pages but not for the header of my blog.
