Run shortcode run from inside a shortcode?

    Is it possible to have a shortcode run from inside a shortcode?

    Some more details: I’ve got 2 shortcodes: column and widget_area. In usage, they look like this [column width=”50%”] [widget_area name=”Sidebar 1″] [/column]

    But that way it doesn’t run the widget_area shortcode.
