Runcloud needs update

  • Hello Gary,
    first of all: giant plugin you created! Amazing!

    Ok, here now the topic why your plugin needs a little update: Runcloud added the possibility to choose now which webserver you like to run when creating a new server:

    1. Nginx
    2. OpenLiteSpeed

    So thats why at the moment it is not possible to create a new server by your plugin!

    Can you have a look please?

    Hi rbendit,

    First, thanks for the amazing review! It’s always nice when someone appreciates your work!

    Unfortunately the problem that you have raised is completely outside of our control! We have been wanting to add the ‘OpenLiteSpeed’ option since RunCloud added it to the dashboard months ago!

    Our plugin can only provide services that are available via a providers API. Unfortunately RunCloud have not made this option available through their API so we cannot include it in our plugin!

    We have raised the issue with them on a number of occasions and the response is the same “they are working on adding it to the API”. I have just checked their API documentation and it hasn’t been updated since February!

    so then my opinion about your great plugin is approved now: the problem is on Runcloud and not on your plugin!

    to let you know that Runcloud confirmed that this issue is on their part:

    Runcloud wrote in the open support-ticket:

    “Allow me to apologize for that. Moving forward, I have escalated this issue to the relevant department and we acknowledged that this is an issue on our part. Rest assured that the fix is already on its way. It will be updated as soon as possible.

    I will keep you updated on this ticket regarding the update. Should you have any other issues, please do not hesitate to let me know. I will do my best to assist you.”

    So hopely in the next runcloud api update your plugin will be able to offer also the OpenLiteSpeed server feature.
