Yes, you can install the plugin on some of your testing or less important site and you can track your main site from there. Plugin allows you to track different websites (even your competitors).

Only limitation would be that you will not be able to join guest blogging network.

Remember, you need to have at least 1 visit per 3 days to trigger the “cron” that will calculate your positions.

WP Crontrol or a similar plugin can take care of the “cron” event. But what exactly is a guest blogging network in this case?

Guest blogging = guest posting more often.

Its when someone offers you unique article to your blog exchange for backlink, or in other cases when you switch unique article with someone (with backlinks).

Default WP Cron class is triggered by user accessing the site. WP Crontrol is only showing you events that have been planned. Cron itself must be set on the server.

    Kinda bug report.

If there’s an empty line under “Rank reporter” in Settings, the next scheduled check will be on 0 Unix time ??

(actually scheduler seems to be defaulting to 0 Unix time a lot)

Oh, and one more thing. “Search depth” would be more descriptive than “Search volume”. IMO.

Unix time – Yes, that is correct, once you enter your site on front-end, test will be triggered and time will jump to today + 3 days and you will get results for your ranking. Script is actually checking whether current time is greater that the 0 Unix time.

Search volume – you can get search volume here… you don’t have to set up that one, its just for your information for the future… if you forget how many people are searching for particular keyword.

I guess I can close this thread ??
