‘Automatic compression – Automatically compress my images on upload’ is ON
‘Metadata – Strip my image metadata’ is OFF
‘Image Resizing – Resize my full size images’ is OFF

Any advice is appreciated. Here are my GTMetrix results:

This means your image metadata is corrupted, since it is 20 images I would suggest finding the images in WordPress > Media Library and replacing them with a new image version.

Smush will optimize the images only, on Smush free version it optimizes the Thumbnails, for full images you would need to use the Pro version.

I also did a closer look on Gtmetrix and one of the main issues is related to time for the first byte:

This can be improved by using the WPMU DEV Hummingbird plugin:
