I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “production ready”, but yes, there will be frequent updates while Gutenberg is being integrated in core, and once WP 5.0 is out.

Did I not read somewhere in the documentation or get a warning or something ( can’t remember right now ) about not ruining this plugin on a production site?

“Warning: This is beta software, not recommended for production sites!”

Yes I’m a little concerned by the warning on the Github page too.

Is this warning still applicable, now that WP 4.9.8 is out? There now seems to be no option but to use this on production sites if we don’t want the Gutenberg callouts and editor.

Announcement today showing interest by core project team to support this plugin through 2021.

    Warning remains in GitHub readme.md
