Running WHM/Cpanel url:mysite.com/~site want to reslove to mysite.com

Hello All,
I have been searching the web for so long now my eye are burning and I have not gotten any farther.
so currently the address on my site resolves as such
https://www.mysite.com/~site
this is after I moved it up a level out of wordpress sub directory
I need this to resolve to https://www.mysite.com.
Is there anyone out there that can help me?
also I have mod the index file in /usr/local/apache/htdocs to point to https://www.mysite.com/~site
