Right now I’m running WordPress on two webservers (identical content), grabbing data off one database server. Both webservers host one domain, accessible via a dns robin.

One potential problem is when I customize plugins, which does not save its settings on the database, but instead on the plugin file itself. And there’s no way to login to the WordPress admin on each server, since they’re set by domain from the database.

I’m am wondering if there’s a better way to achieve what this setup is supposed to do – spread the server load to two servers and maintain identical content on each.

  • i’m looking into this kind of setup also.

    3 webservers
2 db, one master and one slave

Need a more automated way of handling identical files across machines.
