Running WP in a password protected folder

(I know someone who works in a school and who has her blog protected like this to stop the students reading it).

If you have problems at all, just put WP in a directory further down under the .htaccess

Did just find out, though, that you won’t have a feed from it because of the protection. Just thought I’d let you know.

You can, but you need to use the same user/pass as the .htaccess

It will entirely on your Feedreader supporting this method. I use FeedDemon which allows me to see the feed of the friend I mentioned above. FD costs ($30) and is Windows only but hunting around might find others that support the feature:
