Hi,

Moved my site to a new server which had this plugin installed and now when I click on the dashboard this is what I get:

RuntimeException thrown

SplFileInfo::isDir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/clients/client1/web6/web/..) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/clients/client1/web6/web:/var/www/clients/client1/web6/private:/var/www/clients/client1/web6/tmp:/var/www/mywebsite.com/web:/srv/www/mywebsite.com/web:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php:/tmp:/usr/share/phpmyadmin:/etc/phpmyadmin:/var/lib/phpmyadmin)

Other tabs appear to be working?

Have you tried the development version [1] of the plugin? I (kind of) fixed a similar bug with commits 1127109 [2] and 1127111 [3], you may want to give it a try and see if the warning messages disappear.

Marking as resolved for now, if my suggestion does not works then we can re-open this ticket and continue with another method to fix the issue. Let me know if the code in the development archive works.

Just tried uploading development version and no go.
After that I tried both changesets by overwriting sucuri.php and still no go.
Am I doing it wrong somehow?

To provide context to this thread the issue that is being reported is actually related to a configuration of the server where the site is being hosted, the directive “open_basedir” was set to not allow the access to the directories above the document root (which is actually a good security practice), the plugin for some reason is trying to read this directory [1] instead of keep the execution of the file system scanners isolated inside this directory [2].

I will try to reproduce the issue in my development server, if I have luck and find the piece of code that is causing this behavior I will upload a patch and notify you about it.

I fixed the issue with the “open_basedir” with changeset 1154532 [1] which was merged and publicly released with version “1.7.9” of the plugin.
