russian langugage code

    Hi there,

    plugin “hreflang tags lite” offer language “russian” which is shown in html as language code ru-RU. Validation with https://hreflang.ninja/ sends here an error
    “Language-region code has no standalone language code”. Besides, I don’t want to specify the url only for visitors in Russia, but for all russian speakers despite geographical place. Could anybody help?

    I have added “ru” code to the language options and named it Russian. I have renamed ru-RU to be Russian (Russia).
