Ryte Says Pages are Missing Sitemap.XML but they’re not?

Also, if Ryte is checking the value sitemap.xml and not sitemap_index.xml that may be causing the warning. Some SEO utilities only check for a sitemap at the value of ‘sitemap.xml’.

So do I need to get all pages listed on the sitemap.xml? Or is it okay if they’re listed on sitemap_index.xml?

Yoast creates the sitemap here: https://www.asd-usa.com/sitemap_index.xml. We can see on the page sitemap that URL is appearing: https://www.asd-usa.com/page-sitemap.xml.

Ryte is likely expecting to see a sitemap.xml file which Yoast does not create and then lets you know about it.

As Yoast is outputting the sitemap correctly and the URL is appearing on it, you can ignore those messages from Ryte.

In addition, be sure that you have submitted that Yoast sitemap to Google and not the sitemap.xml one. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google

Shall we disable ryte in yoast settings?
