£'s don't work anymore
-
Hi
Seem to be having a bit of a problem today with £ signs not displaying, they seem to get automatically deleted from the HTML?
Is this a theme issue?
Thanks
Sally

Hi,
Where are you using this sign.
I think you are talking about service section.
We are updating kyma theme today.
It will live very soon.
Here you have to update the font-awesome files in theme directory.
So if you can wait for the update then it will live very soon.
Thank You
Hi,
Theme has been live so please update your theme package.
Thank You
Hi
Thanks for the update, I’ve just installed it.
There still seem to be problems in several places.
This is a post; https://lovefamilyholidays.co.uk/o76-off-suncamp-holidays-accommodation-voucher-codes/ The £ signs disappear of their own accord and in some places towards the bottom random ? marks appear between text.
Posts which already existed have no problems – https://lovefamilyholidays.co.uk/absolutely-mad-100-7-night-family-holiday-france-starting-easter-weekend-wow/ for example. Even editing in the text editor instead of the visual editor doesn’t work. As soon as I click save, the £ signs I added disappear. Even the £ sign in the title does not remain.
It is the same with pages too. At https://lovefamilyholidays.co.uk/flight-delay-compensation/ I cannot get a £ sign to appear, and I cannot get the text to fit below the banner. I tried all day yesterday.
Adding

does not help, nothing works ??Hi,
In wordpress editor switch to text mode and paste this £ where you want pound symbol.
Then switch in visual mode and save the post.
ThanksHi
I tried that, it just disappears as soon as I save ??
Hi,
We have tested its working well.
Did you follow above solution.
Please apply this on new post for testing.
Let us know for further assistance.
Thank You
Hi
This definitely isnt working at my end, no matter what I try.
I noticed it also added a ‘o’ to the url before the 76, so I’ve just changed that and now the url is https://lovefamilyholidays.co.uk/76-off-suncamp-holidays-accommodation-voucher-codes/ and still I cannot get the £ signs to work. I tried the solution you recommended several times. Here is a brand new post for testing, which has also removed the £ signs and once again the £ in the title has been replaced with a o, whilst the £ sign in the content has just disappeared completely. https://lovefamilyholidays.co.uk/test-post-o-signs/
Please can you help?
Thanks
Sally
Hi,
Sorry for inconvenience.
Here we are sending a “Screen-Shot” for your view.
Here you can see its working well.
Please try it with new WordPress and updated theme version.
Hope it will work for you.
Try to deactivate all the plugins and clear cache.
Thank You.
Hi
Do you mean click the ‘reinstall now’ button on the wordpress updates dashboard? Is this safe to do?
Where do I find the clear cache option please? I can’t find it anywhere.
This seems to be a site wide issue, it’s happening with posts, pages, classifieds listings too and also ? marks appearing in random places of the page when I try to add a £
I’ve tried deactivating plugins, nothing helps.
Thanks
Sally
Hi,
press ctrl+h
then dialog box will opened.
See clear cache option.
Thank You.
Oh I see, you mean my pc’s cache. Yep tried that before, just tried again and still no joy. I asked my host and he said it must be an ‘encoding’ issue? Honestly I can’t get it to work, I can send you my log in details if you want to see whether you can see something I can’t?
Thanks
Sally
