\’s in my comments?

    After entering a comment to a blog’s post, there are \’s preceding each single quotation. Why is this and how can I stop it from happening? I’m using 1.5…?

    i found the answer. for anyone else seeking such things, i had to turn off magic_quotes_gpc in my php.ini. i originally tried searching for stripslash in resolving this, and will list the word here for anyone else who may have my own poor line of thinking….
